How to Buy Lab Grown Diamonds
Buying a lab grown diamond is simpler than it looks. The grading language is the same one used for mined diamonds, the quality is certified the same way, and the only real decisions are shape, size, grade, and setting. This guide walks through the exact steps our customers follow, then answers the questions we hear most often.
A Simple 6-Step Buying Path
- Choose your shape. Round is the classic brilliant cut. Oval, marquise, and pear look larger for their carat weight. Emerald and Asscher are step cuts with a quieter, glassy flash. Start from the shape, because it decides which settings suit the stone.
- Pick a carat size. Carat is weight, but what you see is millimeters. Use our size chart to compare carat weights against face-up measurements before you decide.
- Check the grades. At Aaditya Jewel, every center or solitaire lab grown diamond is Color E with VVS2 clarity, and side or accent diamonds are Color E-F with VVS-VS clarity. You do not need to comparison-shop grades across our catalog; the standard is fixed.
- Confirm the certification. The center diamond of every lab grown piece is certified by IGI. Your stone's exact measurements are recorded on its certificate, so what you order is what is graded.
- Choose metal and ring size. Pick your metal (silver, 10K, 14K, or 18K gold, or platinum), then find your size with our ring size guide. Engraving is free if you would like a name, date, or short message inside the band.
- Order with confidence. Every order includes free insured worldwide shipping. Processing takes 7 to 8 working days before dispatch, and listed designs are covered by our 30-day return policy.
How to Buy Lab Grown Diamonds: Questions and Answers
What are lab grown diamonds or lab created diamonds?
They are diamonds produced in carefully controlled laboratory settings that replicate natural diamond formation. Produced through high pressure high temperature (HPHT) or chemical vapor deposition (CVD), these stones share the same chemical, physical, and optical qualities as mined diamonds, at a significantly lower price and with no mining involved.
What is your return policy?
We offer a 30-day return policy on our listed items and pre-made designs, counted from the date of delivery. Custom and personalized orders are made specifically for you and cannot be returned unless the item arrives with a defect, in which case we will remake it.
Do your lab-grown diamonds come with certifications?
Yes. The center diamond in every lab grown piece is certified by IGI. Side and accent diamonds follow our fixed grade standard (Color E-F, Clarity VVS-VS) and are not individually certified.
What does the term handpicked lab-grown diamonds refer to?
It means each stone is individually selected and checked against our grade standard before it is set: Color E and VVS2 clarity for center stones, with the cut and proportions reviewed by our team in Surat before the piece moves to production.
Will the moissanite in your jewelry become dull or cloudy as time passes?
Moissanite is a hard, durable gemstone (9.25 on the Mohs scale) and does not cloud the way some diamond simulants do. Like any jewelry, it can pick up oils and residue from daily wear; a gentle clean restores its fire. Our jewelry care guide covers the routine.
Are your rings made from solid metal or are they plated?
Our rings are made from solid metal, not plated or filled substitutes. The metal you select (sterling silver, solid 10K, 14K, or 18K gold, or platinum) is the metal through the entire piece.
